Franklin’s Got Talent

It’s that time of year, when our very own Foxes get to share their talents and shine. We are excited to announce the 15th Annual Franklin’s Got Talent will be live in our very own Franklin Auditorium on Saturday, March 16th. Tickets went very quickly and the show is SOLD OUT!

Calling All Superstars!

Talk to your child and encourage them to participate by sharing their talents in this supportive, non-competitive environment. Students can perform solo, with friends in a group act or even with family as a family act. This is a fun, relaxed community-building event that always brings great joy and pride to the students of our beloved Franklin Elementary School.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The First Look preview is a mandatory showcasing of your act for the talent show committee. This is not an audition, but rather a chance for the committee to meet the performers and see what material they plan to present. The performance does not have to be in its finalized polished condition at this time.

  • First Look Previews are scheduled for after school Feb 20th, 22nd, or 23rd. We will email your child’s exact First Look date and timeslot after the registration period has ended.

  • The Second Look is a mandatory showing of your act to allow the talent show committee a chance to check-in to make sure your performer is staying consistent and practicing. By Second Look your act should be fully developed and have a locked music selection and length. At this point the committee is there to provide helpful feedback and guidance as you polish your performance.

  • Dress Rehearsal is a practice run of the entire show done a day or two before the final performance. All acts perform in the order they appear in the show. Full costumes, props, lights, music, etc. are used for the rehearsal. Your act should be fully performance ready.

  • Your act should be no longer than 2 minutes. You may need to cut down the original material to stay within the time requirement. Remember an amazing 1-minute performance is more powerful than an unpolished 2 minutes.

  • We need to have all prerecorded music for the First Look. Use the Dropbox link sent in your registration confirmation email to upload your mp3 (audio file) or bring it on a thumb drive to First Look.

  • If you have a child in an after-school program – Franklin Kids, YS Beyond the Bell, or Boys’ and Girls’ Club - a talent show committee member will escort your child from their program to their First/Second Look appointments. Once their appointments are complete a committee member will escort them back to program. We highly recommend you plan to attend the dress rehearsal with your child since full costumes and props will be required.

  • Thanks for asking! We need a lot of volunteers to run the show. We have a great committee, but we need more hands for the dress rehearsals and for show day. Please check out the FGT VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP.
